Saif Ishoof is vice president of community engagement at Florida International University (FIU) where he leads in building public and private partnerships in support of FIU’s mission. Saif is also a senior fellow in the Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs at FIU. Prior to joining FIU, Saif was the founding executive director of City Year Miami, a social enterprise where 17-24 year olds serve as tutors and mentors to students in low-income communities. Before that, Saif spent seven years with FCT Technologies, first as general counsel and then as President/CEO. At age 24, Saif started Agriverde Inc., a software company that supported agricultural supply chains in the western hemisphere. Saif serves on the boards of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce & the Public Interest Technology University Network. He is a former Presidential Leadership Scholar and German Marshall Fellow and has received multiple recognitions for his community building service. Saif is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Miami School of Law. Saif is a Fellow of the third class of the Civil Society Fellowship, a Partnership of ADL and The Aspen Institute, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
