Kate Davenport is the Chief of Policy for The Recycling Partnership, working on advocating and implementing effective public policy to advance the circular economy by building a better recycling system. Previously, Kate was the Co-President of Eureka Recycling, a social enterprise that demonstrates zero waste as a strategy to address climate change, local economic development, workforce development and inclusion, and social and environmental justice located in the Twin Cities. She oversaw the financial and operational management and investment strategy of a $20M budget and a facility that processes 100,000 tons of recycling per year. Kate served in several different positions at Ecoventures International, supporting environmental microenterprise development in East Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, and the U.S. Early in her career, she was the operations manager for the first commercial organics collection service in Washington, D.C. She has a B.A. from Tufts University. Kate is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Civil Society Fellowship, a Partnership of ADL and The Aspen Institute, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
