Father Justin Mathews is an Orthodox Christian priest, social entrepreneur, nonprofit executive, and artist with 25 years of experience. As CEO of Reconciliation Services [RS], he is dedicated to cultivating social and economic reconciliation in Kansas City and healing historic dividing lines. In 2018, he launched Thelma's Kitchen, a "donate-what-you-can" community café. Father Justin's impact extends to leadership development, authoring The Social Leader Essentials E-Course, empowering CEOs and senior leaders for social change. In 2021, he co-founded the Social Venture Studio. Father Justin is an artist, songwriter, and producer performing as Not Made By Hands, amplifying his social impact through creativity. Recognitions include being named a NextGen Leader in 2022 by the KC Business Journal and receiving the ACE Award for Diversity and Inclusion in 2020 from the Greater KC Chamber of Commerce. In 2018, he completed the Chamber’s Centurions Leadership program. In 2021, he was appointed to the Heart of the City TIF Commission by the Mayor, serving as Vice Chair. He holds a BA in Business (Cum Laude) from Belmont University and master’s in divinity from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary, where he was ordained a Priest in 2006. He is attached to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Overland Park, KS, and married with three sons. Father Justin is a Fellow of the Civil Society Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
