Frank Fernandez joined the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta in August 2020 where he leads one of America's top 20 largest community foundations. The united power of his prior experience and the anchor institution's 70 years of regional leadership combine as a force for good, championing equity across metro Atlanta. Prior to joining the Foundation, he served for six years as the Senior Vice President for The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation where he led transformational revitalization of Atlanta's Westside while simultaneously directing Blank's community development, global giving, health access and social justice initiatives.  Previously, Frank managed a 25-member team and raised over $13 million as executive director of Green Doors, a non-profit group devoted to transforming lives and neighborhoods for people in need in the Austin metro area. Frank is also the co-founder of HousingWorks, a non-profit advocacy organization comprised of business and faith-based community leaders, real estate developers, and housing advocates, that promotes housing affordability throughout the Greater Austin area. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, graduating cum laude, from Harvard University and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. Frank is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Civil Society Fellowship, A Partnership of ADL and The Aspen Institute, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
